I have been reviewing the Lightroom 3 Beta and I think it looks great. There are some fantastic things in there that I when I saw them, I exclaimed "YES!" out loud. One of the greatest is that they have fixed the issue with being able to add logos (watermarks) to all photos everywhere, so photoshop actions will be a thing of the past (for adding logos for web or print images). They have also opened up the print module to complete customization, which means... you guessed it, now you can export album ready pages or spreads straight from Lightroom. And finally, I am flipping over the publishing feature. This is going to allow 3rd party platforms, like flicker, to integrate seamlessly with Lightroom. You can even publish images to your own servers and disks as well. Information can move out of and into Lightroom. Comments from the web will be brought into Lightroom and changes to images will be pushed out to the web. I am very excited about this.

Because it is a public beta, it will change and more features will be added before it hits the market, but it is looking great so far. And when it is finally released, I can guarantee you, you will be thrilled.

I will be reviewing the advances in Lightroom 3 Beta in my upcoming workshops in Austin, Houston, New Orleans and Maimi.

Here is a discount code to attend for only $99 for viewers of this blog, www.digitalweddingchat.com and www.digitalweddingpro.com! Code: "DWP"

Ok well the first glaring issue i've found is the inability to edit in Survey mode. I like to edit in Survey mode viewing around 6-8 images at a time. It started out fine but after about 100 images it keeps HANGING on the render of the previews. I tried re-importing them as a higher quality preview and still the same issue.

If anyone that reads this experiences the same please share.
