This range issue really bothers me and it doesn't seem like something that can be fixed by firmware updates.

Used them at a Wedding down in Mexico City this weekend for the first time. Im still 80% happy. Range issue is the only thing that gets me really. Love the build quality and ease of use. Worked flawlessly outside in the 20-30ft range. Anymore than that and it was hit or miss much like the 5-10ft range of an ST-e2 outside on the beach. So.....

I love these things, but I have range issues too. Have not tried them in a hall yet, but in my home, with both antennas up, when I go into the next room, the slave unit doesn't fire. With the Plus & Plus IIs, I was out on a parking lot of a reception hall about 50ft away from the hall and when I pushed the button I could see the lights going off inside. I'm kinda sorta afraid to use them at a wedding right now. I'll be doing a church event this coming friday, I'll take my chances there.

They have issues, man. Radio interference with 580 EXII which limits the range.
